Impala

We saw impala everywhere! These were right on the lodge grounds. They travel in large groups, and the white markings on their rears and tails are called "follow me" markings. Impala can only see in black and white, so when they run and hold their tails up, the white parts show up really well in all of the shades of black and gray in the background so that they can follow each other well when running from predators.
