Le Cirque Bleu / Why a Circus?

... . ...
The holiday season is a feast of the senses and imagination, full of sights, sounds, scents, flavors and, above all else, anticipation. It can be wonderful, especially for a child, but once all the presents have been opened and all the litter cleared away, the base of the Christmas tree looks suddenly bare. The train rolls round in an aimless circle. Something's missing and it's more than the stack of presents.
We think children (and grown-ups, too) miss the thrill of anticipation. So here's an idea for extending the magic of the holidays: arrange for a circus to come to your house on the day after Christmas - a little circus of the imagination.
Enjoy our little circus. Read its brief history, look at posters and browse through two dozen photographs. Build a circus of your own from our simple plans and construction notes. Make it a fun project for the whole family. All it takes is a few animal and character figures (available in toy stores and zoo gift shops everywhere), a bit of this-and-that from around the house, and a little imagination. And it's nice if you happen to have a little train, too.
