Grown-up Miss Muffet was visiting her parents one day when her mother said, "Do you remember this, Dear? We found it in the attic."
She held up the little seat Miss Muffet often sat on when she was a child. Miss Muffet smiled. She remembered it very well.
She used to sit on this tuffet to read picture books to her dolls. She used to lie across it to catch the
warm sunlight that came through the window in the wintertime. She used to bring it to the kitchen sometimes to sit on while eating her breakfast.
Most of all, she remembered the time she was frightened by a spider while sitting on her tuffet. Maybe you know the story?

Little Miss Muffet
Sat on a tuffet
Eating her curds and whey.
Along came a spider
Who sat down beside her
And frightened Miss Muffet away.

You might not know the end of the story, however. It made Little Miss Muffet angry that a tiny bug could scare her.
She decided to learn all she could about bugs. Then she would understand them and they would not scare her anymore.
So she paid lots of attention in her science classes. She took biology in high school and she studied entomology
in college. She became a famous bug scientist and lived happily ever after.
