The next morning was Christmas morning and the kittens helped us open our presents. They made us laugh. My Dad called the humane society. They were closed for Christmas. We could keep Kiss Krinkle and her kittens for another day. Mom fed them milk and water and bits of tuna fish. The kittens played and took naps all day long. One of them liked to nap on my Dad's shoulder while he read the newspaper, but my Dad kept saying, "Don't get used to these cats. They're not staying." |
